Monday Care Headlines

Monday's are pretty mundane @ the office, so there is probably nothing you don't already know about here - but I figured I'd give you a peek of all the current customer care alerts/headlines/notices for all the customer-facing departments we have. If there's anything that interests you (that I haven't blogged about already) - let me know and I'll dig up some more info on it.

Known Issues Corrected With This Software Update:

  • AOL.com - Customer should no longer experience blank page problems after signing into AOL.com from the home deck page (Vision Home > Portals > AOL > AOL & AIM mail).

  • Bluetooth Headset - Resolves compatibility issue with the Motorola 700 series Bluetooth headsets.

  • Software / PRL Update Notification - Customers will be able to receive Software and PRL update notifications even if the device has data locked.

  • Text Messaging - The device will no longer become corrupted from multiple @ symbols being included in a SMS Message.

  • Picture Mail Error - Customer should no longer receive a false ‘Insufficient Memory. Cannot show this page completely. Go to Vision Home‘ error message after posting a picture to Ceiva via Picture Mail.

  • Photo Storage - Customers should no longer have issues storing pictures on the Memory Card in their phone.  Previously if the memory card was removed from a Rant and replaced the device would detect the card, but continue to save the pictures to the device, instead of on the memory card.

  • Web Services - The Rant should no longer freeze and lock up when customer are attempting to launch the Web browser.

Unsure if you need the update?

  1. Go to Main > Setting > Phone Information > Version.

  2. If the software version is not CG10, tell the customer to initiate the update from their device by going to Main >Tools > Update Phone > Update Firmware.
