  1. Do you know the battery size and if it has an SD card slot?

  2. Yes, they all have SD card slots, and I thought I saw something about a ~2100 ma battery. The newer phones are suppose to be a lot more efficient. The Evo 4G LTE has been getting very good battery reviews too.

  3. Oh yea get ready. Removable and a bigger battery...sd slot and 32 gigs. Already beats the LTEvo.

  4. Hmmmm...should i return my EVO and get the S3? Decisions Decisions

  5. Same size battery, same processor, but yeah the battery is removable... It's not clearly ahead of the EVO LTE at all tho. Slightly worse screen (Pentile arrangement AMOLED w/less accurate colors, tho better blacks), no kickstand, no camera button, and you gotta take into account Samsung's dismal track record with updates imo.

On the other hand, it's got more RAM and the removable battery. Sense vs TW is subjective, as are the looks of either device, but both will be a factor for some. Menu button arrangement with a physical home button and long press for multi tasking is also kinda odd imo.

  6. Will the GS3 be HD voice capable like the EVO LTE?

  7. Will there be a color choice in the pre-order??? I am partial to the pebble blue. And when do pre orders kick off online? Normal business hours or 12 midnight...which is tonight BTW.

  8. Yes there will be a color choice. Since it's not like the LTEvo where it said by 8:00 am, I am hoping it's at midnight. Cause that would make it so much easier. 32 gig pebble blue...oh yes you will be mine.

  9. 2100 mah and yes SD slot

  10. I think it's funny when people bring up Samsung's update track record when the EVO LTE is running 4.0.3 and the GS3 is already on 4.0.4.

  11. Samsung can't touch the HTC UEI... hands down the most intuitive phone on the planet. I just tried the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, it was horrible, and looking at the features above, they weren't all that different. About the only good thing going on Samsung is the Chrome integration.

  12. Well it's a bigger battery. 2100 mah vs 2000 mah. LTEvo only has 16 gigs (9 for apps) and te Galaxy you can eiter buy 16 or 32. It's ok to be in envy. I returned my LTEvo and cannot wait for the galaxy s3.

  13. Can you get us an off contract price?

  14. does anyone know how the partitioning scheme will work on the s3? i.e. does it split up the 32gb into seperate partitions for apps and media, or does it actually allow you to use the whole thing for whatever you want?

the evo 4g lte for the record is the separate partitions for apps/media, which i personally can't stand, because i install lots of apps, and only have 1 or 2 gigs for apps is crap imo, especially when there's just empty space sitting there unused

  15. everyone that buys a Samsung phone that i have talked to has hated it. The reason I got the HTC is because my original evo was great and this one is too. I think you will regret that decision.

  16. Nah won't regret it. I have lots of friends who love Samsung. Each phone has their ups and downs. You chose yours based on what you like. I am choosing based on what I like. I like the bigger screen, I like the bigger battery, I like the removable battery, I like the extra storage 32 gigs compared to the 16.

I have also talked with a lot of people who are returning the LTEvo for the SG3. You still have time to return it.

  17. No google wallet/NFC or Beats Audio? I don't need that much extra space for saving apps/music/data. Put your music in the cloud and fugghetaboutit. My 48GB LTEvo is just fine for me. Battery life is very satisfying.

  18. It has nfc and Google wallet. Beats is just an eq setting that really didn't do anything. When you run out of space of the 9 gigs of phonw storage us 32 gigs and our 64 gig sd ...96 gigs + the cloud will be happy go lucky.

Again nothing against the LTEvo, but some of us are wzcited

  20. Neo,

I upgraded one of my lines to the EVO LTE and then did an ESN swap to my line. Is it going to be possible for me to exchange the EVO LTE for the S3?

    ReplyDelete
  21. HEY NEO! I just saw a report on Fox news online that Apple is now going after Samsung and going to try and block the Galaxy just like they did the EVO. I like my EVO, and have no desire to change, but I'm wondering if theres any buzz at H.Q. about another problem launch.

  22. Correction... It was an Associated Press Hi Tech article.

  23. We just want to know if we should expect a hold up or anything.:)
