Upcoming LTE Announcements.. update...

For those wondering about the upcoming text message about the LTE announcements.... it appears it was put on 'hold' status.. unsure why, but I'll check tomorrow @ the office. But wanted to give you this screenshot so you know I'm not just making this stuff up LOL. So many people emailed me and commented about it, i figured it needed a response :) so stay tuned, I'll get more info tomorrow - but this was posted to the portal.

  1. What's the waive activation fee promotion, lol

  2. Possibly related to third party phone retailers? Or is Sprint currently running it's own waived activation promo on new accounts? (like Wirefly is) I'm curious too, details please!

Last year Wirefly was running a similar promo and I was never charged activation for my upgrade they them, even tho I guess I should've been charged. I'm hoping for a repeat this year...

Otherwise I'll probably call to fight it, with good reason imo... Already paid $165 to buy out my contract and reset the upgrade date, and insurance rates are going up, tacking on the recently bumped $36 activation on top of it all seems ridiculous.

Shame we don't have a retention department # to call and whine to anymore tho... :p Hint hint?

  3. it's for online orders - or if you request via telesales, on new lines of service in both cases.

  4. I wonder what the hold up will be. I am just curious insidesprintnow, do you know what the official launch date is for the 4 LTE markets? I just hope Sprint resolves any issues before the LTE launch.

I am gonna guess and say the 4 initial LTE markets will launch on June 21 or 22nd right when the Samsung Galaxy S3 hits stores. This way it will give Sprint another 2 weeks to launch as many LTE towers as possible in the 4 LTE markets.

It only mentions Dallas, San Antonio, Atlanta and Houston. What happened to Baltimore also on the list as one of the first cities?

  7. I'm wondering how kansas city missed the cut, considering that sprint is based in the kansas city area.
