EVO 4G LTE - ReadyNOW Setup Guide

While we're waiting for the official launch date to be released hopefully later today, here's something that you might find useful. Ever wonder what guides are used for the retail store folks during the 'ReadyNOW' setup process? It's an intriguing look at what settings are recommended.. as well as what will happen the moment your phone is turned on for the first time.

    Thank you!

  2. Do they even proofread these things? I found some grammatical errors. lol Just seems like they would.

BTW I'm still waiting for my EVO. xD

  4. Thanks for this article. I didn't realize they haven't announced the official launch date. That explains why Best Buy hasn't sent out any updates yet. My frustration meter has dropped to normal levels.

  5. Hey with this whole Evo explosion I forgot to say welcome back. I missed you! I escaped echat in May 2010. I work for a worse customer Airline Pilots, boy are they all demanding.

Where did you disappear to for 2 years?

  7. Just got an email from sprint with tracking # and it's estimated for a 25th delivery

  8. How ridiculous it is that there is still no launch date and zero information on when Best Buy will be getting the phones. It's comical at this point. We've been hearing "soon" for well over 36 hours now. It doesn't mean anything anymore.

  9. Still no Tracking number here. Just waiting and hoping that Sprint will hurry up since I did pre-order the phone 4 mins after the pre-orders opened up online....

  12. ATTN!! To those that pre-ordered from Sprint and want a tracking number

    1) Go to ups.com
    2) Go to "Tracking" > "Track Shipments" > "Track by Reference"
    3) In the Reference field input your Sprint Acct # and voila! Tracking number revealed with the label :D *I promise this is legit*

  15. All mine says is that a shipping label was created today, 2 day air. So how am I going to get it by tomorrow? I pre-ordered within the first 2 minutes it was available. Well at least it is more info than I had before, I was really hoping to get it today.

  16. James Jacox / svargas05, that worked perfectly! Thanks!

  19. I noticed in my confirmation email from sprint that they reference Ready Now information but it isn't there when link is clicked. However I did find this list of tutorials on our phones which are slow to load but be patient...

  20. Wow..didn't work for me. I pre-ordered on the 7th via sprint.com. I guess my EVO is still held captive. What happened to the military axiom, "one goes, we all go." Maybe I need Seal Team 6 to go in and liberate my EVO.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I ordered as soon as it opened and got a confirmation email same day from Sprint at 8:11am.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think that the way it is working is not by how fast you pre ordered but rather where you live in the US as certain phones have to leave earlier to get to further destinations...

    ReplyDelete
  23. You put your account number in the Reference field?

You can't put it in the tracking number field, in case you did that...

    ReplyDelete
  24. Not the order #from sprint but your account #

    ReplyDelete
  25. Dang Sprint...just ship my phone. What difference does it make if I get my phone a day before Craig does?! C'mon... it's all about me now! :-p

    ReplyDelete
  26. Mine has shipped!!!!!!

    :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  31. You're getting 3 of them for your troubles...

    HAHA!

I want mine to weigh 9 pounds too >:/

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hmmm. So they changed it from Friday to Thursday after it actually shipped rinesk?
By the way, does anyone know how to sign up for an HTC account like neo's ReadyNow guides talks about? Apparently that is one of the first things that should be done?

Signed up for it when I got my Evo 3D

    ReplyDelete
  35. I figure they changed it from 2nd Day to Overnight so Sprint could hit the 24th target.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I have yet to get my email so you might get it first!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Okay..thank you, that worked. I was using my sprint order number. Now I have my tracking number and a count down clock until delivery (I need to get a life).

    ReplyDelete
  38. I was hoping that the phone would have shipped from the warehouse (UPS MAIN HUB) yesterday so that I could get it today on my day off but no, I have to work tomorrow so I am sure I will get it then... :(

    ReplyDelete
  39. Bet you it releases on the 25th.....

    ReplyDelete
  40. whats your schedule? maybe u can swing by the ups warehouse by you and pick it up after the first attempt of delivery

    ReplyDelete
  41. Change that just got my email :P

    ReplyDelete
  42. just got my email confirmation now my package weight says 6.5 wth lol

    ReplyDelete
  43. Mine says out for early delivery on the 24th, tomorrow, too. I'm leaving town on Friday, so I hope I get it tomorrow, or it'll be until Monday night until I can start playing with it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Funny, my UPS tracking says the 24th, but my sprint notice says 05/08!!! So let me think about this a moment...the moment it arrives it will have been sitting on my porch for over two weeks? I'm very confused :-(

    ReplyDelete
  45. I am really regretting buying from Amazon now, Lord knows when the heck we will get our phones, They won't even reply.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I am so glad that I did not pre oreder with Wirefly like I was going to.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I hope to get off tomorrow around 2 or 3 UPS will sometimes leave your package on your doorstep if there is no one home or in mail box. (If they feel it is safe to do so)

    ReplyDelete
  48. You won't be able to do that. It'd be available for pick up the next day

    ReplyDelete
  49. grrr i dont like that leave at door option, they did that to my concord jordans, i never got them!!! *calm down in the name of sweet 9lb 8oz baby jesus*

    ReplyDelete
  50. Ha, that'd be pretty awesome! Did finally get my sprint confirmation email and it says my estimated delivery date was 15days ago! Think that whole customs issue was actually a Tardis issue? xP

    ReplyDelete
  51. i don't think you'll be waiting much longer.. but should know soon

    ReplyDelete
  52. Its official..I got my sprint email confirming my phone is shipped and should be here tomorrow...Thanks neo for the info and everyone else with their updates!

    ReplyDelete
  53. YES... The phone is on it's way! First it said 2nd day air but now it says:

OK, just so I'm 10000% positive-- will that big beautiful screen be in my hand tomorrow? I was checking out a friends OneX and the phone is soooo lite and thin. And the screen colors made my OGEVO look like a piece of crap. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Think the sprint email estimated delivery is based on your original order date. I ordered on the 9th and the email said I should get mine on the 11th. My guess is it is an auto generated reply that is sent when they actually ship but generated at time of order.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I went to a store last night to bad it was closed already. So I have no idea I am going to call or go in today!!!

    ReplyDelete
  58. If you do call about a tracking number make sure they dont deactivate your current cell phone because i have been on the phone with sprint for 30 minutes trying to get this fixed.
